The 350 km of ski slopes and 63 lifts make the ski area around the Matterhorn a real winter sports paradise for skiers and snowboarders. The 12 km of cross-country skiing track between Täsch and Randa, for both classic and skating style, is very popular.

In Zermatt, walkers have double the reason to get excited, because from the 70 km of signposted winter footpaths, far from the ski slopes, they can always see a fantastic alpine backdrop. On the way you may encounter a horse-drawn carriage making its way through the snowy winter wonderland.
